Purple Hornet Zoanthids

Purple Hornet Zoanthids, Zoanthus species, are colorful soft corals with purple faces, yellow rings, and golden skirts. Zoanthids are popular reef aquarium corals because they grow in colonies, add strong color, and are well suited for mixed reef displays.

Care Guide: Zoanthus species generally do well in low to moderate lighting and low to moderate flow. Start them lower in the aquarium and adjust placement based on polyp extension and color. Handle with care, avoid cutting or irritating tissue unnecessarily, and keep them away from corals that may overgrow or sting them.
